The Media Shop is the brainchild of the dynamic duo, Gary Tang and Jessica Toh, both experienced advertising and media professionals who possess a passion for media strategy. Feeling there is a void in the industry between big network agencies and their smaller, more localised counterparts, the pair founded The Media Shop to act as a bridge between the two to cater for advertisers looking for regional exposure but at the same time feel more comfortable working with an agency which has both local and regional experience.
At the same time, conscious that most local agencies are either specialised in traditional or digital planning but not both, The Media Shop incorporates these elements to offer integrated solutions complete with personal touches and attention to each of the clients’ objectives in their campaigns.

The Media Shop’s specialised approach towards media strategy has certainly garnered a positive response, with the agency managing to hit the one million dollar mark in revenue during its first year of operations, a significant achievement for a young start-up during the economic downturn in 2010.
On top of that, The Media Shop boasts a wide range of clients under its portfolio such as the Textile & Fashion Federation of Singapore, Garuda Indonesia and Epicor. Currently, the agency is working with McAfee on new advertising models yet to be explored by other advertisers in the development of a lead generation campaign utilising search, apps store advertising, mobile and social media to promote the McAfee mobile security suite in the Asia Pacific region.
