TAIPEI - The Media Shop has opened a new North Asia office in Taiwan, Taipei. The North Asia office will support regional campaigns in Asia, and is led by new hire Calvin Wang.
Wang was appointed Regional Manager in April 2013 and reports to Jessica Toh, The Media Shop’s regional business director. Wang will be responsible for driving business development in North Asia, as an increasing number of global clients form expansion plans into the Asian market.
Wang has over 10 years of experience in Asia working across multiple industries including advertising, cross-channel marketing, media operations and design.
“Expanding into Asia is no longer an option but a given for global brands that have reached their bandwidth on home ground. As a media agency focused on Asia, we pride ourselves on providing clients with localised and integrated support across all media types. The expansion was a natural step for us,” Toh said.
The Media Shop’s clients include CA Technologies, BOSCH Home Appliances, FireEye, Regus and fast food restaurant Long John Silvers’. The Media Shop was shortlisted for two awards, Media Agency of the Year and Local Hero, at the recent Marketing Magazine Awards.
The Media Shop is an independent boutique agency based in Singapore and focused on the Asian market. Founded in 2009, the agency offers genuine media planning and buying services across all media platforms in Asia. The agency has shown their mettle against larger agencies, securing local and regional accounts.
